Stand with Zack Packard Memorial Foundation to keep the 56-year Legacy of the Oregon 4-H Center going through the newly imagined Oregon Outdoor Education Center.

Help us to reach our goal of $600,000 today.

The historic Oregon 4-H Camp that has served as a haven for our youth for decades is in danger of closing, and we need the community’s help.

OSU Extension Services, the organization that currently operates the center, has made the difficult decision that it can no longer sustain the investment of resources required to manage the facility year-round.

The Oregon 4-H Center needs new guardianship to continue providing year-round outdoor education for Oregon’s youth through immersive camps, mentorship, and teen leadership development opportunities.

The Zack Packard Memorial Foundation (ZPMF) in conjunction with Wildlife Stewards LLC is ready to step in on this important journey to carry-on the long-standing mission of the Oregon 4-H Center and assume guardianship as the new owner/operators of the reimagined ‘Oregon Outdoor Education Center’ effective September 10th, 2024. Our mission is to sustain this property as a hub that fosters growth and development opportunities for Oregon’s youth. We have a vision and strategic plan to revitalize the facility and extend its legacy by continuing other valuable to foster relationships with the established camp community resources like NWESD Outdoor School, 4-H program, and YMCA camps.

ZPMF has agreed to purchase the camp and we need to raise $6M to achieve our goal. We have 90 days to raise the down payment of $600K to take possession of the Center in time for fall outdoor school. We need your help to preserve the legacy of the Oregon 4-H Center and continue empowering youth for years to come.

Your donation can make a world of difference and help ensure that the Oregon 4-H Center (Oregon Outdoor Education Center) remains a beacon of hope, growth, and joy for children and families for years to come. Your financial contributions will make the maximum impact, but in-kind donations for the camp and kids are also valued. Sponsorship and naming opportunities will be considered for key contributors.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

The Oregon 4-H Center has sparked the imagination of children since 1968, hosting clubs and programs centered on providing youth with a sense of belonging and developing critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership skills.

It has been a pivotal hallmark in enriching the lives of children, offering educational and reactional services that spark learning and a sense of fun.

ABOUT OREGON 4-H CENTER

The ZPMF was founded in 2022 in memory of Zachary Charles Packard aka ‘Buck’.

Zack was the very 1st camper to register for the inaugural Wildlife Stewards 4-H Camp in 2001. When he became a counselor, he chose the name ‘Buck’.

The Buck silhouette has become our symbol for the life and memory of Zack.

Built to honor the life of Zack Packard, a son, brother, friend, and forever favorite counselor, who impacted everyone he met. We assist in providing financial support in sectors of Zack’s life that were important to him.

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit.
